Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is MARINER?

A: MARINER is an animated Star Trek fan series.  It started out as a parody web comic based on the Star Trek Online game.  A few readers of the comic suggested using animated clips along with the traditional three-panel jokes.  We took the suggestion a step further, designing new characters and episodic storylines.

Q: Does this project infringe on copyright?

A: Our volunteers are fans of the Star Trek franchise working to create something fun to show our appreciation for Gene Roddenberry and all the others who have worked to bring us the shows and films we love.  We are doing our part to promote the franchise; we don't ask for money and no infringement is intended.

Q: How can I get involved?

A: If you would like to be involved in this project, please send an e-mail to NCC94253@GFCmedia.net.  If you would like to audition for a voice role, please see the details on our Audition! page.  We could also use help with art if you have a vector-based drawing program such as Anime Studio by Smith Micro or Illustrator by Adobe.  We also accept scripts and/or episode ideas, if you would like to see one of your stories come to life!
